AF Energi contributes to society's green transition by delivering energy-efficient and sustainable solutions that society needs – now more than ever. We do this in everything from smaller service assignments to larger turnkey contracts and execution contracts.

Proper follow-up and management play an important role in ensuring that technical plants maintain a stable and low energy consumption. Our experience shows that energy consumption can be reduced by up to 10 percent with periodic adjustments and correction of the technical plant. Savings are achieved through optimised operation of ventilation, heat, cooling, light and heating cables, as well as fault rectification in the event that alarms are triggered or there is non-compliance.

AF supplies turnkey HVAC, cooling and refrigeration services for offshore and onshore installations, rigs and ships. Our experienced engineers and service technicians are highly skilled and possess international experience. Our services are available all over the world through our domestic and international offices and our carefully selected agent and service network.

| Offshore

Environmental Centres receive contaminated bulk material and clean it in an environmentally sound manner. AF's technology contributes to a cleaner environment by recycling up to 80 per cent of bulk material that would otherwise have ended in traditional landfills. Purified material is sold back to society and given new life - we transform waste into new resources. Our goal is 100 percent reuse and termination of the traditional landfill. The European Commission's goal is that 80 per cent of all materials shall be recycled and remain in circulation by 2030. Our curiosity and constant search for innovative and crative solutions show that it can be done, however, everyone must contribute.

| Environment

AF Gruppen will, through ongoing and earlier projects, deliver a total of 580 apartments for OBOS in Kværnerbyen. The project includes Kværnerlia housing cooperative and Kværnerbyen Terrasse, as well as earlier work on Dreieskivakvartalet.

AF Bygg Østfold has started the Closed Building contract at Campus Ås. The contract includes around 27,000 m² of façade and around 25,000 m² of roof area.

When the superstructure of the Ekofisk tank was to be removed, AF chose to pick it clean with excavators out in the North Sea. The components were transported to the AF Environmental Base at Vats for source separation and recycling.

Project | Offshore

The contract includes construction of a building with accommodation units and associated services, a daytime activity centre and base for home care services. The building includes 72 serviced accommodation units from 50-55 m2 in size and comprises 5 storeys and a basement. The building’s floor area is just below 10,000 m2, and the four top floors will be built using massive wood. The contract also includes the development of outdoor areas and the necessary infrastructure.

Procurement of goods and subcontracting services represent a large portion of the turnover in AF Gruppen. AF wants to become the preferred partner for our most important suppliers and business partners. We want to achieve this through good relations, trust and mutually profitable cooperation. AF's competitive ability and place in society starts and ends with the company being trustworthy. An important part of our procurement work is ensuring that our suppliers impose the same requirements toward ethics, quality, HSE and the external environment as we do.

The National Museum for art, architecture and design will be Norway’s largest cultural building and a vital meeting place between the general public and art. AF Gruppen has been awarded the Structural Shell and Closed Building contracts.

This project involves the distribution of heat and cooling to various parts of the central building, including outpatient clinics, treatment buildings, ward buildings, service buildings, and the basement. The heating and cooling are distributed via three large energy centers and smaller energy centers in technical floors.

With its four buildings, new square and public passage, Engebrets Promenade will be an extension of Storgata and the city centre when the area is finished in autumn 2017.

The rig, which weighs approximately 18,500 tonnes, shall be cut up at the dock at the AF Environmental Base at Vats and processed onshore prior to demolition and recycling. This is the first time that AF will adopt the method being used, and the project represents an expansion of the range of services offered by AF Decom Offshore.

The K1 T-link contract is a new road connecting Karmøy, Haugesund and Tysvær Municipality. The project included a subsea tunnel underneath Karmsundet, Førresfjorden and Fosen, tunnel profile T11.5 with roundabout at Fosen (level -60 bsl.), water and frost protection, manholes and pipes, electrical work, highway with roundabouts and road junctions, rails and lighting, pump stations, technical buildings, 2 bridges and 3 road crossings. The T-link consisted of five contracts in total.
