AF Miljøbase Vats in Rogaland is purpose-built for the handling of offshore installations and other marine structures. In addition to optimal depth conditions, the fjord is well-sheltered. The area has been designated for industrial activity and serves as an ideal starting point for business operations.

Offshore installations that are no longer in use shall be removed and recycled. AF has developed expertise relating to the removal and recycling of complex offshore installations and structures. In our capacity as the main contractor for removal projects, we are able to undertake all phases of closing down platforms, from Well P & A (well plugging and abandonment) to sorting waste and recycling it at AF Environmental Base Vats.

Environmental Centres receive contaminated bulk material and clean it in an environmentally sound manner. AF's technology contributes to a cleaner environment by recycling up to 80 per cent of bulk material that would otherwise have ended in traditional landfills. Purified material is sold back to society and given new life - we transform waste into new resources. Our goal is 100 percent reuse and termination of the traditional landfill.

AF Gruppen makes the protection gloves and eyewear mandatory from 1 April 2019. By adding protection gloves and -eyewear to our list of mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) on all work sites we aim to reduce the total number of personnel injuries. Injuries to hands and eyes are among the most frequent injuries at AF. In some cases, protective gloves or eyewear have not been used, while in other cases wrong gloves or eyewear were in use. If the correct type of PPE had been used, a significant number of injuries would probably have been avoided.

AF Bygg Østfold has started the Closed Building contract at Campus Ås. The contract includes around 27,000 m² of façade and around 25,000 m² of roof area.
