The contracts are turnkey contracts, covering engineering, procurement and construction of high-voltage installations at the three sites. The projects form part of Statnett’s ongoing investments to strengthen capacity and security of supply in the power system in Southern Norway.

Engineering work will commence in summer 2026, with construction scheduled to start in early 2028 and planned completion towards the end of 2030.

The combined contract value is slightly above NOK 500 million, excluding VAT, plus options.

“This award confirms our competitiveness in complex power grid projects and our ability to deliver in line with Statnett’s requirements for safety, quality and execution. Demand in this segment is increasing, supporting further growth opportunities,” says Tormod Solberg, EVP of AF Gruppen.

The contracts strengthen AF Gruppen’s position within the energy sector and support a solid project portfolio in a market driven by electrification and growing demand for grid investments.
