Aker Power Supply
Hafslund Celsio’s heating plant at Aker Hospital will, following reconstruction, supply 52 MW of district heating to Oslo’s district heating network and strengthen security of supply for district heating customers in the Groruddalen area of Oslo.
Project status
Backup for Aker Hospital
The Aker heating plant will also serve as a peak load and backup facility for Aker Hospital and the Oslo emergency clinic.
Aker University Hospital
AF Energi will design and install the internal heating plant, which includes electromechanical equipment, piping systems, pipe insulation, tanks, and the necessary steel structures such as mezzanines, stairs, and pipe supports.
The heating plant will contribute to secure energy delivery for Aker Hospital, the city emergency clinic, and all district heating customers in the Groruddalen area. District heating is an important energy source that provides several benefits to society and helps utilize surplus heat from waste incineration and industry that would otherwise be lost.
