One of the Largest Fields on the Norwegian Continental Shelf

Johan Sverdrup is among the five largest oil fields on the Norwegian continental shelf. With estimated recoverable resources of 1.9–3.0 billion barrels of oil, it represents one of Norway’s most significant industrial projects for the next 50 years.

Located at Utsirahøyden in the North Sea, approximately 140 kilometres west of Stavanger, the field came on stream in 2019 and is being developed in multiple phases. Phase 1 includes a field centre comprising four permanent platform installations: a processing platform, a riser platform, a wellhead platform with drilling rig, and an accommodation platform.

AF delivers complete ventilation solutions for all four platforms on the field.
