Kårstø Integrity Project
Upgrading at Kårstø
Kårstø is located in Tysvær in Rogaland county and is a process plant for gas and condensate. The plant receives gas through pipelines from the North Sea and the Norwegian Sea.
After wet gas products have been separated, the dry gas is conveyed through pipelines to Germany, while wet gas products are transported from the plants via ship.
Gassco initiated the Kårstø Integrity Project (KIP), which included upgrades, improvements and the installation of new equipment.
AF’s contract included the main firewater pipeline, which was connected to the existing firewater pipeline system.
