The project involves expanding the capacity of the Fuglevik wastewater treatment plant, which will serve residents in the municipalities of Moss, Våler, Råde, and Vestby.
The agreement is a general contract and includes all concrete structures as well as external and internal works for four new process buildings. It also covers the refurbishment of all existing buildings, groundwork, and the development of roads, parking areas, and green spaces. Construction is scheduled to commence in December 2025, with completion expected in December 2029.
AF Gruppen will place strong emphasis on environmental and sustainability considerations throughout the project. A comprehensive sustainability plan has been developed, which includes the reuse of materials, a fossil-free construction site, environmentally friendly concrete, and load-bearing structures made from cross-laminated timber.
– AF Gruppen has extensive experience in constructing wastewater treatment facilities, including ongoing projects at both Fredrikstad wastewater treatment plant (FARA) and Nedre Romerike water and wastewater treatment plant (NRVA). We look forward to working with MOVAR IKS to deliver a successful project within the defined goals and parameters, says Tormod Solberg, EVP of AF Gruppen.
