The project includes the construction of an extension that connects with the existing buildings at Westinghouse Electric Sweden's fuel fabrication facility in Västerås. The new extension includes process areas, technical rooms, and offices.
The construction will take place within an existing industrial area where operations will continue throughout the entire building process. This places high demands on safety.
“We are pleased to contribute to the development of the Westinghouse facility in Västerås, and we look forward to executing the project in close collaboration with the customer,” says Bård Frydenlund, EVP of AF Gruppen Sweden.
Preparatory work started in the second quarter of 2025, with completion expected during the first quarter of 2027.
