    Before a building is demolished, regulations require an assessment to identify any hazardous materials. For certain buildings, it is also mandatory to assess whether building components can be reused.

    Environmental Assessment

    An environmental assessment must be carried out before demolition or refurbishment to determine whether hazardous substances are present. This requirement applies to projects over 100 m² or where more than 10 tonnes of waste will be generated. The findings are documented in an environmental assessment report along with a waste management plan.

    Early Assessments Reduce Costs
