Decom establishes itself in Sweden
Since AF Decom Onshore has already become a nation-wide demolition contractor in Norway, the decision to expand to Sweden was quite natural. The new company, which was established during the first quarter of 2008, is located in Gothenburg, and is a move to utilise our resources still better. Personnel and equipment will be moved over from AF Decom Onshore in Norway until a full labour force is built up based in Gothenburg. The CEO of the Swedish demolition company is Benny Karlsson.
Initially the expanded Gothenburg region will be the area focused upon. To be more specific, the internal demolition and dismantling in connection with renovation work. In addition, there are a number of large industrial buildings that are ripe for renovation and/or restoration.
“Over the course of a year, we will probably grow to encompass around three demolition specialists and one machinist, in addition to two persons performing administrative tasks,” said Benny Karlsson to AF Posten in March 2008.
