Hydropower Project Sauda

AF is building a new hydropower plant with tunnel system in Sauda for Elkem Saudefaldene AS.

The Sauda Development is one of the largest hydroelectric power developments since the 1980s. The contract encompasses the construction of a new generating plant and a new upstream waterway.

In total, approx. 30 km of tunnels need to be bored and 9 inlets established in a comprehensive upstream waterway system. The project will employ approx. 150 persons over approx. 3 years.
