OBOS Nye Hjem and AF at Mortensrud

AF Bygg Oslo is building four blocks of flats at Mortensrud with a total of 76 flats for OBOS Nye Hjem. The flats in the Stenbråten Housing Co-operative will be built in the same style as the Mikkelshøgda Housing Co-operative.

Construction of the Stenbråten Housing Co-operative was commenced in the autumn of 2007.  The spacious family flats on Marta Steinsviks Street will be finished in May of 2009. The building complex will consist of four blocks of 4-5 storeys each. They have been designed as gallery housing with the same character and use of materials as the Mikkelshøgda Housing Co-operative. Mikkelshøgda consists of 42 flats in three low blocks and was completed at the very end of 2007. 

- Mikkelshøgda was originally a modular project, but in conjunction with AF it was replanned as traditional on-site construction. The project contributed to the interest in the blocks that are now being built for the Stenbråten Housing Co-operative, while also allowing the partners to benefit from their experiences. 

We are familiar with AF from previous joint projects. We know what AF stands for and they are familiar with our expectations. It is a good point of departure for further co-operation.
