The Opera in Oslo

AF Byggfornyelse has been involved in work from the floor to the ceiling inside the new opera house. We have received a number of new contracts during this work.

What began with carpentry, masonry and door contracts has ended up with continuously new and challenging jobs from the Norwegian Directorate of Public Construction and Property. Some of its more special features include its wave-curved wall, marble floor in the foyer and the adjustable ceiling.

Ceiling and marble floor
The design of the ceiling, marble floor and wave-curved wall in the foyer is probably the work that AF has had that has made the single strongest impression in the public portion of the opera house. It is this that people will see when they come and visit to admire the completed building.

In the restrooms, AF has been completely responsible for all the surfaces – particularly the glass mosaic that our own tradesmen who work with tiles have done.
