Sogn Arena is a new commercial property which AF Bygg Oslo is constructing on assignment for Bertel O. Steen Eiendom AS.
The client desired the greatest possible flexibility in the design of the building. AF solved this by utilising ‘Bubble Deck’. This allowed longer spans and cantilevers. The architect could then design a more spectacular facade with fewer disruptive elements such as columns, beams and wall plates. This solution in addition allows further freedom in how the interior of the building can be fitted out.
