Newly developed bathroom heating cable

AF Byggfornyelse has in cooperation with the heating cable supplier Nexans and the electrical contractor Elektro-Sivert Installasjon developed an improved heating cable.

The cable has been given the type designation TKXP/2R Xtreme. The new feature of the cable is that all joints and cable terminations are removed and are integrated in the cable. Joints and cable terminations are the weak point in cables. The cable is guaranteed for 15 years, whereas conventional cables are guaranteed for 10 years.  The cable has been used in several projects, including Rektorhaugen Housing Cooperative.
