What is ”Piece Small”?
The first phase comprises called frontrunning where the platform is stripped of non-metallic materials, hazardous waste, cables and electrical components. The remaining structures are cut into pieces small enough to fit in regular waste containers and
shipped to shore by utilizing already existing logistic solutions. The method is basically the same as the well proven method used onshore for more than 100 years, and can be utilized without help from crane barges, heavy lift vessels and so on.
Simplicity is the key to cost efficient execution.
