The energy efficiency project at InfoRama at Sandvika Storsenter was completed in March 2007.
A year after completion, consumption had been reduced by 1,940,000kWh. That is 550,000kWh more than guaranteed!
With today’s energy prices, this increased saving ensures that the total reduction in energy costs increases from NOK 748,000 to about NOK 1,100,000 ex VAT.
With an investment of NOK 3,3818,000, this project is paying for itself in a very short time.
The following measures were carried out:
- Energy monitoring and optimising operation
- Upgrade of ventilation in hotel, kitchen etc.
- Integration of 36.04 and 36.05 with the hotel’s central control system, plus demand control Demand control of ventilation, new units
- Insulation of elements in the boiler room.
The customer is very satisfied; as Thon Gruppen’s project manager Ole-Martin Moe says: “The present consumption of 2.6GWh against the previous 4.5GWh can certainly be seen in the budget, while comfort has been improved. Now it’s about maintaining this energy level.”
