What is your education?
I have a MSc in Energy and Environmental Engineering from NTNU in Trondheim.
How did you come to work for AF EMT?
I contacted AF Energi & Miljøteknikk AS at a job fair at NTNU. I got a summer job with AF in my final year and later worked with AF on my master thesis. Both parties were pleased by the experience, and I happily accepted a job offer.
Describe a normal working day
The tasks vary every day as we have many projects within renewable energy. The range spans from assessing different energy sources, providing needs analyses to following up on projects. My first big project was to implement a heat plant and district heating network covering a shopping center, a hotel, a retirement home and a school in Flå.
What distinguishes AF EMT in the market?
We have the knowledge and resources to follow projects from idea to turn-key project. We have the capacity and expertise to contribute with energy effective and renewable solutions, and of course we guarantee energy efficiency and functionality.
What is the best part of working here?
It's exiting to be a part of a project from the beginning, through design and construction phases, opening and finally ongoing maintenance. The process is comprehensive and instructive, and makes everyday challenging and exiting.
