In the autumn of 2006, AF established an HVAC environment with a point of departure based in Bergen. The division was built up with a total of 12 employees, before in October of 2007 AF signed an agreement to acquire Mollier.
Mollier was founded in 1998 and had during the course of a short period of time established itself as a leading competence centre for HVAC, electrical instrumentation and installation services for rigs and offshore. The company took the overall responsibility for the HVAC systems of its customers and had highly qualified key personnel in both engineering services as well as technical execution.
The acquisition strengthened AF's efforts in the energy area and was an important step in our ambition to become a significant player in energy-related services offshore. Through Mollier, AF is able to offer a greater range and a better capacity in terms of its offshore-related services. We gained access to interesting customer agreements and to key competence, as well as a presence in the oil towns of Stavanger and Bergen.
The new company had a turnover in 2007 of around NOK 120 million. The company has 70 employees, with key competences in both engineering services as well as technical execution. The company is thus able to assume overall responsibility for the HVAC systems of the customers and deliver maintenance and modification services that make the energy use efficient for customers involved with rigs and offshore.

Mollier must be able to take the overall responsibility for the HVAC systems of its customers and become the leading player on the North Sea.
