Large construction contract to AF Gruppen

AF Gruppen is set by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration as contractor for the development of the new road connection, T-connection, between Karmøy, Tysvær and Haugesund in Rogaland.

The T-connection is a construction project for the construction of a new east-west-road connection between E39 in Tysvær and Karmøy, and north-south between Fosen and E134 in Haugesund. The project involves underwater tunnels under Karmsundet and Førresfjorden.
The agreement has a value of MNOK 878 excluding VAT. The work includes construction of approx. 4.5 km road in the day and a total of 8.9 kilometers of subsea tunnels. Planned startup is 1.9.2009 and completion is 1.12.2012.
