AF Gruppen has signed a contract today with the Norwegian Public Roads Administration for the development of the E6 highway between Øyer and Tretten in the municipality of Øyer in Oppland county.
The contract includes 4 kilometers of new tunnel through Skarsmoen and upgrading of 10 kilometers of existing E6.
The value of the contract is NOK 680 million excluding VAT. The contract includes tunnel works, blasting, mass haulage and complete road construction including asphalt works. Scheduled start-up on the project will be April 2010. The new E6 is planned to open in 2013. The contract is based on the letter of intent published in the announcement March 10th 2010.
